Golden Jaggery

Golden Jaggery is tucked away at Gala No 225 in the Baramati MIDC area. We are right here in Indrapur, Baramati, where there is a lot of activity every day. Our shed isn't the biggest one on the block, but we keep it busy. We started this because we knew the farmers around here had good cane, and we wanted to make something out of it. It’s not a polished business with a front desk. Most days, you’ll find us in our work clothes, checking on the boiling pits or packing up the finished jaggery. The MIDC can be a bit dusty and loud, but that’s where the work gets done. We sell to a lot of different people, some local and some who come from further away. It’s a straightforward operation. We buy the cane, we process it, and we sell it. There isn't much more to it than that. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which can be frustrating. But we’ve learned how to handle the quirks of the equipment over the years. We don't bother with fancy packaging unless someone asks for it. Usually, it's just the big blocks that people want. If you are driving through Baramati and need to find us, look for Gala 225. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down, just working through the piles of sugarcane brought to us.
