Gaibipeer Urdu School

This school is on Hotgi Road in Solapur, specifically in the Bramhadev Nagar area. We've been here for a while now. The school focuses on Urdu medium education because that’s what the families around here were asking for. Our building is simple, just two floors with a flat terrace. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we always have to tell the kids not to run up and down. We have a small staff of about ten people who work here. Everyone knows everyone else's name, so it feels like a small family most days. Solapur gets really hot in the summer, so we have fans in every room to help. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to open the windows wide to let the air in. We teach all the standard subjects like math and science, along with Urdu and Marathi languages. The playground is just a patch of open ground next to the building. The kids play cricket there during their free time. We don't have a big gate, just a small metal one that stays open during school hours. We keep all our records in big paper registers. Sometimes the ink smudges on the pages. We don’t have much in the way of computers, just one in the small office for the paperwork. The parents come for meetings every month and we sit on chairs in the hallway because we don't have a hall. We are just a neighborhood school.
