Burte Clinic

Our shop is number 8 A in the Lal Bahadur Shastri Shopping Center, located in the Navi Peth area. Navi Peth is a crowded, traditional part of the city with lots of narrow lanes and old buildings. The shopping center itself isn't one of those new malls with glass walls; it’s a more old-fashioned place with small shops side by side. We are tucked in among cloth stores and small offices. Most of the day, you can hear the chatter of shoppers and the sound of scooters parked right outside. The clinic is small, just one room mostly, where we fit in everything we need. It gets a bit cramped when more than two people are waiting at the same time. People often stop by while they are out doing their regular errands in Navi Peth. The lighting inside is just basic tube lights, and we keep the door open to let some air in when it’s not too dusty outside. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know most of the other shop owners in the building, and we often share tea in the afternoons. There’s no big reception desk or fancy waiting lounge. It’s just a practical space where we work and talk to the people who walk in. It’s been here long enough that we feel like part of the neighborhood’s daily routine.
