As A Accountancy Teacher

Living and working in Solapur has its own rhythm. I spend most of my time at Blk No 19 in New Rangraj Nagar. It’s where I set up my space for teaching accountancy. It’s not a big school or anything, just a room with enough chairs for the students who come by. I’ve got my ledgers and calculators spread out over the desk. It’s quiet in this part of town, which helps when we are trying to get the balance sheets to add up right. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. The students come in after their regular classes, looking a bit tired but ready to learn. We go over the basics of debit and credit until it starts to click for them. There is an old wooden shelf filled with textbooks that I’ve had since I started. Some of the pages are turning yellow. I don't use fancy software or anything too complicated. I think there is something better about doing it on paper first. My neighbors know when I’m working because they can hear me talking through the open window. It’s a simple life. I have my tea in the evening while I grade the practice papers. Sometimes the street dogs bark outside and we have to pause for a second. It’s just a small local spot where we focus on the numbers and try to get things correct.
