Visit To Himachal

Solan is where we sit, specifically on the 3rd floor of Amar Complex right there on The Mall. If you know the area, you know it gets quite busy around the Mall Road during the tourist season. We’ve been around for a while now, just working out of this office and dealing with people who want to see the mountains. Most days it’s just us answering phones and trying to figure out the best routes for travelers. The office isn't anything fancy, just a regular space where we keep our maps and files. Solan has that nice mix of being a city but still having that mountain air. We spend a lot of time talking to local drivers and hotel folks across the state. Sometimes the internet acts up because of the weather, but we manage. People stop by after walking up from the main road. It gets cold in the winters, so there’s always a kettle going for tea. We don’t really do the big corporate thing here; it’s more about knowing which roads are blocked by snow and which ones are clear. It’s a lot of coordination, to be honest. We just try to make sure people get to where they’re going without too much trouble. Sometimes the traffic downstairs is a bit much, but being on the 3rd floor gives us a bit of a buffer from the noise. It’s a decent place to work and we just do our best to stay organized.
