Jagriti Special School

We have been here in the Saint Joseph Building for a while now. Living and working in Rohru is different because it is a small place and everyone knows everyone. Our school, Jagriti Special School, is not fancy. It is just a place on New Street where we help kids who need a bit more attention. Most mornings start with the staff getting things ready before the students arrive. It gets cold up here in Shimla, so we make sure the rooms are okay for the kids. People around here usually just walk over or drop their kids off on their way to work. We do not have a big office or anything like that. Just some classrooms and a small area for them to play. It is a bit noisy sometimes, especially during lunch, but that is how it is. We deal with daily stuff like keeping the place clean and making sure we have enough supplies for the week. It is a lot of work, but we have gotten used to the routine. The building is not new, but it works for what we do. Sometimes the power goes out, or the heater acts up, and we just fix it. We are not trying to change the world overnight, just trying to make sure the kids have a decent place to spend their day while their parents are busy. New Street is usually quiet except for when school starts. We are just locals doing what we can.
