Vilas Impex

Our place is Vilas Impex, and we are located in the Industrial Area of Sojat City. It’s a bit out of the main town, where all the factories and warehouses are. It’s quite dusty here, especially with all the trucks moving around. We work out of a large shed-like building. It stays hot in the summer, but we have some fans going. We deal with imports and exports, mostly focused on what’s local to Sojat. It’s not a glamorous job. There is a lot of loading and unloading. We have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting. The office part is just a small corner with a computer and a printer that jams sometimes. We spend a lot of time checking quality and making sure the bags are packed right. The industrial area is a loud place with machinery running nearby. We eat our lunch together in the shade when we can. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy lobby. If you come to see us, you'll find us in our work clothes, probably covered in a bit of dust. We've been doing this for a while and we know the trade well. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We just keep our heads down and get on with it. The local tea seller comes around at four, which is the highlight of the afternoon.
