Hathwa is where we are located, and the school is pretty easy to find if you’re from around here. We’ve got a decent amount of space at Imperial Public School, but it always feels a bit cramped when everyone shows up in the morning. The entrance is often crowded with bicycles and parents dropping off their children before they head to work. We have some trees around the perimeter that give us a bit of shade, which is a huge relief when the sun is beating down in the middle of the afternoon. The building itself is painted a simple color, nothing too flashy, and we’ve had to patch up the walls a few times after the heavy rains. Inside, the rooms are filled with the sound of shuffling feet and the occasional scrape of a chair across the floor. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some old charts and drawings that have been there for a while now. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with notebooks and tea mugs scattered around on the tables. We spend a lot of our time just managing the daily routine, making sure the bell rings on time and that everyone is where they should be. It’s a lot of work, and some days are definitely harder than others when things don't go as planned. But we just keep at it, day after day, in this little corner of Hathwa. It’s just a regular place.
