Holly Heart Public School

We are located in Rautari, Bijaipur, which is in the Gopalganj district. It is a fairly rural area, so things move at a slower pace compared to the big cities. The school building is a plain structure that sits among the fields and local houses. We have kids coming in from all over the village and some of the surrounding areas too. Our classrooms are simple, with just the essential furniture and some charts on the walls to help with the lessons. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or expensive equipment. Most of our teaching is done the old-fashioned way with books and talking to the students. The weather in Bihar can be quite unpredictable, with heavy rains in the monsoon that sometimes make the roads a bit muddy. We just deal with it as it comes. The teachers here are local residents who know the families of the children they teach. We have a small playground where the kids spend their breaks, and it’s usually the loudest part of the day. We don't put on any airs about being a fancy institution. We are just a local school providing a place for kids to learn their basic subjects. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when it’s hot, but we’ve been doing it for years now. Most days are pretty much the same, filled with the sound of children reciting their lessons and the occasional bird flying into the courtyard.
