Thirumayam Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited

The place is Aseemanur, and we run Thirumayam Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited from here. Most of us grew up around these parts and have been working the land for a long time. It started because a few of us farmers talked about how things were changing and we wanted to stick to organic ways. We are just a group of people trying to make a living and keep the soil healthy. There isn't much to see at our small office at 9-74/6 but there is always someone around. We spend most of our days out in the fields or checking on the crops. Being a producer company means we all have a say in how things go. It’s not always easy managing everything together but we manage. Some days the weather is tough and other days it is just right. We don't have any fancy machines or huge warehouses like the big companies in the city. We just use what we have and help each other out when the harvest comes around. Most people in the village know who we are. If you walk past the Aseemanur area you will probably see one of us. We are just regular folks who care about what we grow. There isn't any big secret to what we do here. We just put in the work and hope for the best each season. It’s been a few years now and we are still figuring things out as we go.
