Sri Ariyanayaki Morden Rice Mill

Our mill is located at C/28 Sorrkavasal Street in the Narayanpuram area of Pallathur. Sri Ariyanayaki Morden Rice Mill has its home on a street that is narrow and full of character. It is a bit of a tight squeeze for the larger trucks, but we make it work. Narayanpuram is a nice neighborhood and we have gotten to know a lot of the families living nearby. You can often see the smoke from the boilers or hear the clatter of the machinery starting up early in the morning. We handle everything from the initial cleaning to the final packing. The mill floor is a busy place with people moving about and checking the quality of the rice as it comes out. We have a small crew and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it is fixing a belt or sewing up a bag. Pallathur is known for its traditional ways, and even though we call ourselves a modern mill, we still do a lot of things the old way. The walls of the mill are a bit weathered and the roof has a few patches, but the machines inside are what count. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most people find us because they have been coming here for years or their neighbors told them about us. It is a local business through and through, and we like being part of the daily life on Sorrkavasal Street.
