Sdss Public School

Sdss Public School is right by the Power House in Hariharpur. It’s a very recognizable spot in the Tandiyawan area because of the proximity to the Tandiyawan Police Station. If you find the station, you are basically there. We’ve been operating out of this building for years. The sound of the power station is something we’ve just gotten used to over time. It’s a busy little stretch of road. We have a playground that gets quite muddy when it rains, but the kids don’t seem to mind it much. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we all walk or bike to work. The classrooms have high ceilings which helps when it gets hot in the afternoons. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that hum along all day. There is a small shop across the street where everyone grabs snacks. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we prioritize keeping the desks in good shape. It’s an honest place. We open the gates early in the morning and stay until the last student is picked up by their parents. Sometimes the traffic near the police station gets a bit heavy, especially on market days. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s a local school for local families, and that’s how we like it. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here in Hariharpur. We are just part of the village life.
