Ratan Memorial Green Way Public School

Our school, Ratan Memorial Green Way Public School, is located on Gali Number 3 in Sitamarhi. It’s a bit of a quiet lane compared to the main market, which is nice for a school. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. The building is a simple structure, and we’ve painted it a few times over the years to keep it looking decent. We aren't trying to compete with those big private schools in the cities; we are just a local Sitamarhi school for the people who live nearby. Each morning, you can hear the kids reciting their lessons from the street. We have a small staff and we all wear many hats, from teaching to fixing the gate when it squeaks or the plumbing acts up. It is a busy life, but it feels good to be part of the community here. Sometimes we have issues with the water supply or the street gets blocked by a neighbor’s construction, but we just deal with it as it comes. We focus on the basics like reading and math, and we try to make sure every child gets some attention. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s our place, and we work hard to keep things running for the families who trust us. Most of the parents are our neighbors, so there is a lot of talking at the gate every afternoon. It’s just how things are done around here.
