Lord Shiva Brick Co.

Lord Shiva Brick Co. is located on Dabwali Road in the Shastri Colony area. We are right across the street from the Indian National Awards Office, which is the easiest way to tell people how to get here. It is a bit of a strange contrast, having a dusty brick yard right opposite a government building like that, but it works out fine for us. The traffic on Dabwali Road can be quite heavy, especially with all the buses and trucks moving toward the city in the morning. We have a fairly large space in Shastri Colony where we keep our operations running. It’s a lot of manual labor, and we don't use much in the way of high-tech machinery for our work. Most of what we do is done the old-fashioned way with our hands. The workers start their shifts when it's still dark out so we can get a head start on the day's production before it gets too hot. Sometimes we stand by the road and watch the people going into the awards office while we take our tea break. It is a busy part of town and we have become a permanent fixture here over the years. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just focus on keeping the stacks full and the customers happy when they drive their trailers in. The dust from the road and the yard eventually settles on everything, but we don't mind much. It’s just part of the daily job.
