Chandan Traders

Chandan Traders is located in Laxmi Market, right at Shahwal Chowk. We are very close to the DAV Public School, so we hear the school bells ringing and the kids playing throughout the day. Shahwal Chowk is a major junction, so there is always a lot of activity and people moving around. The market is quite cramped, and our shop fits right in with the others. We sell all sorts of things, and the shelves are usually packed to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to move three things just to get to the one a customer wants. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s the charm of Laxmi Market. We’ve been here since before some of those kids at the school were even born. The shop doesn't have a lot of room for people to walk around, so most customers just stand at the front and tell us what they need. We enjoy the talk and the daily gossip that comes with being at such a busy chowk. The noise from the traffic and the school can be a lot sometimes, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We don’t have any fancy mission or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer to arrive. It’s a simple life and we are happy to be part of the local community here. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just a small shop where we try to keep everything stocked for the local people.
