Alfil Cashew & Allied Products Llp is located right on Plot No. D-8 in the MIDC area of Kudal. Being in Sindhudurg means we are right in the middle of where all the cashews grow. It makes sense for us to be here in the industrial zone because it is easier for the big trucks to come and go. The sun gets really hot on the roof of the shed in the afternoons, but that is just part of working in this part of Maharashtra. Inside, we have people who have been sorting cashews for years. They know exactly what they are looking at just by the feel of the nut. We spend our days dealing with the raw materials coming in from the local farms and then getting them ready for whatever comes next. The office part is just a small corner of the plot where we keep the ledger books and answer the phone. It is dusty work because of the machines and the shells, but we have a good group of local people who show up every day. Kudal is a quiet place compared to the big cities, but during the cashew season, things get very fast and we are all on our feet from morning until the sun goes down. We do not have any big corporate goals, we just try to get the bags filled and the orders sent out to the distributors without too many delays.
