Kolebira Barsat Producer Company Limited is located in the Simdega district. Our main spot is in Naya Toli, in the village of Jarakel, which falls under the Sarakel post office. Prabhu Nayak is the person who helps manage things at house number 01. We are a group of farmers who live and work in this part of Kolebira. The name "Barsat" reminds us of the rain that we always wait for to keep our crops alive. Here in Simdega, farming is not just a job; it is what we are. We have a lot of small farmers who each have a bit of land, and by coming together in this company, we can help each other out. It is a very simple setup. We meet up at Prabhu’s place to talk about what we are going to plant and how the soil is looking. We don't have any polished speeches or fancy brochures. We are just people who know the feel of the earth and the rhythm of the seasons. Sometimes it’s hard to make ends meet, but we try to share our knowledge and tools. It’s a community thing where we look out for the people in Jarakel and the surrounding villages. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We just want to be a solid group of farmers who can work the land and sell our goods fairly so we can keep our homes and our traditions going.
