Sharma Traders

Sharma Traders is located at Dhai Mile, near Donbosco More in the Darjeeling district. It is a bit of a drive to get up here, but it is where we have been doing our business for a long time. We are a trading company, so our days are mostly spent dealing with shipments and local deliveries. The shop is right by the side of the road, which makes it easy for trucks to pull in and out. Being in this part of the country, the weather changes a lot, so we spend time making sure our stock stays dry when it rains. We have a fairly simple setup. There is a main storage area and a small office where we handle the calls and the paperwork. We don't have a big staff, just a few local people who help with the heavy work. We know most of the people in the area and we do our best to provide what they need for their own shops or homes. It’s a quiet way to live and work. We don't use much technology besides our phones and an old calculator. Sometimes things get a bit messy when a lot of goods arrive at once, but we always get it organized eventually. We aren't a huge corporation; we are just a local trader trying to do a good job for the community here in Dhai Mile. It’s a practical, everyday kind of business for us. We like the hills around here.
