We’re located at the 2nd Mile on Sevoke Road in Siliguri. This part of West Bengal is always moving, and being on Sevoke Road means we see a lot of the traffic heading in and out of the city. Our place handles both tea and plywood, which might seem like a strange mix, but it’s what we’ve always done. The smell of wood shavings often mixes with the scent of dried tea leaves depending on which part of the facility you’re standing in. It’s a big, functional space with a lot of heavy lifting involved. We’ve got the plywood sheets stacked up in one area and the tea chests in another. It’s not a polished showroom by any means; it’s a working warehouse and office. The floors are concrete and often covered in dust from the wood processing. We have been here for years, and the building has seen better days, but it serves its purpose well. Our workers are mostly locals who have been with us through many seasons. Rain in Siliguri can be quite heavy, and we often have to watch the roof for leaks, but that’s just life in this region. We keep things simple and don't worry too much about appearances.
