North Bengal Tea Producers Association

We are located on the top floor of Goyal Plaza, right in Room 10. It’s on Sevoke Road, the 2nd Mile area in Siliguri. If you find the lane opposite Hotel Sachitra, you’re in the right spot. We are an association for tea producers in the North Bengal region. It’s not a business that sells tea directly to people on the street. Instead, we are a group where owners and growers come together to talk about the industry issues. The office is a bit of a climb since we are on the top floor, but the view of the surrounding area is okay on clear days. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of reports about harvests and market prices. Siliguri is the heart of the tea trade here, so being on Sevoke Road makes sense for us. We have meetings here quite often. It gets a bit loud when everyone starts talking at once. We don’t have any fancy decorations, just some old photos of tea gardens on the walls. It’s a practical space for work. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding regulations and labor. It’s not very exciting work, but it’s important for the local economy. Most of us have been involved with tea for our whole lives. It’s just what people do in this part of West Bengal. We’re usually here during the week, just keeping things organized for all the members.
