Laptop Bazaar

You can find us at Panitanki More, right across from the HDFC Bank on Sevoke Road. This part of Sevoke Road is always packed with cars and bikes, so getting into the shop can be a bit of a squeeze. Laptop Bazaar is basically a room filled with computers and boxes. We have a lot of used equipment coming in and out every week. The floor is covered in those black rubber mats to keep the static down. We spend a lot of time wiping down keyboards and checking battery lives. It’s not a quiet place because we usually have a few machines running tests at the same time. The air conditioner hums constantly to keep the hardware from getting too hot. Our tea guy comes by twice a day and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a hard drive. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes things fall off if you aren't careful when reaching for a charger. It’s a straightforward business. People bring in their broken stuff or look for something cheap to use for school. We just sit here at Panitanki More and handle whatever comes through the door. It’s a bit chaotic during the rush hour but we manage to keep things moving along without too much trouble most days of the week.
