Our business, Jb Kejriwal, is located on Pranami Mandir Road, which is just off the main Sevoke Road in Siliguri. Being near Payel Cinema makes it pretty easy for people to give directions to our place. Sevoke Road is always packed with traffic, so once you turn onto Pranami Mandir Road, it feels just a little bit quieter, but not much. The shop is in a traditional building and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and desks with papers and items scattered about. We don't have an air conditioner, just a couple of big fans that move the air around during the humid Siliguri summers. The floors are concrete and have some cracks here and there, but that’s just how it is. We start work in the morning after the temple nearby finishes its early prayers. You can often hear the bells ringing from the mandir while we are opening up. Most of our day is spent talking to people who walk in from the street or handling deliveries that arrive on rickshaws. The area is a mix of old houses and new shops, so it’s an interesting place to be. It is not a shiny corporate office, just a local spot where we do our daily business and watch the world go by on the way to the cinema. People mostly know us as a fixture of this specific neighborhood.
