You can find us at the Nanu Shome Apartment on Ram Krishna Road. We are up on the third floor, which is nice because it’s a bit away from the street noise. It’s right near Angela High School in the Ashram Para area of Siliguri. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of exercise if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. We work for India Infoline Ltd, mostly dealing with people’s shares and money matters. Siliguri can get pretty rainy, and we’ve had a few days where we’re all just watching the downpour from the window while we work. The office has a very local feel to it. It’s not like those big glass buildings you see in Kolkata. We have our desks set up and plenty of files everywhere. We see a lot of parents from the school nearby who drop in after they leave their kids. It’s a good spot to be. We spend our time checking market prices and helping folks fill out their forms. We try to keep things honest and plain. There’s no point in making things sound harder than they are. We usually have some local snacks on the table for anyone who stops by. It’s a busy little office, but we always have time for a quick chat about the weather. We just keep things moving along steadily.
