Indian Pagoda

If you are walking down Sevoke Road in Siliguri, you will find us over at the Top Plaza Building. We are actually located in the lower basement, so you have to head down the stairs to get to our front door. We are right across from the Payel Cinema at the 2nd Mile mark, which makes us pretty easy to spot if you are looking for that landmark. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler than the street outside, which is a nice break when the sun is really hitting the pavement in the afternoon. The restaurant has been here for a long time and we have watched the neighborhood grow and change quite a bit over the years. The building itself is usually quite busy with people visiting the other shops, but once you get down to our level, it feels a little more tucked away. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or getting the tables wiped down before the main lunch crowd starts to show up. It’s a lot of work keeping things tidy and making sure the kitchen is prepped when people come in hungry after seeing a movie or finishing their shopping. We have got some regular customers who have been coming for years, and we usually know their favorite dish before they even sit down. The lighting is a bit dim because we are underground, but it makes for a quiet atmosphere. Sometimes deliveries are late because of the traffic on Sevoke Road, but we make do.
