You can find Shri Ram Rice Mill over on Rani Sati Road in the Ashok Vihar area. It’s a well-known road, so we aren't too hard to locate. We have been running things here for quite a while. The mill isn’t a high-tech facility with shiny glass walls. It’s a practical workspace where we process grain every day. The noise of the machinery is pretty constant once we get started in the morning. We have a small crew that handles everything from unloading to the final packing. It’s physical work and the days can be long. We don’t use any corporate slogans or have big meetings about goals. We just look at what needs to be done and we do it. The area around Ashok Vihar has grown, and there’s more traffic on Rani Sati Road than there used to be. Sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze getting the big trucks in and out of the gate. We just take it as it comes. Inside the mill, there is always a bit of a haze from the processing, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our work is done with our hands and the machines. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We’re just local people running a local mill. No more, no less. We just keep showing up and dealing with whatever the day brings to the yard.
