Prashant Chura Mill

Prashant Chura Mill is right here in Maira. If you know where the Durga Mandir is, you can find us easily because we’re just a short walk from there. The mill has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. Every morning we start up the machines and the whole place gets moving. It’s a bit loud when everything is running, but that’s just the sound of work being done. We aren’t a big corporation or anything like that. It’s just us running the mill and making sure we get through the day’s load. The temple being so close means we hear the bells and the prayers sometimes, which is a nice change from the sound of the equipment. People in the village know us well. We don't have a fancy office or a big sign. Most people just walk in through the main gate if they need something. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust, but that’s expected in this line of work. We work hard, and we go home tired. It’s a simple life here in Maira. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, and we all look out for each other. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but we just sit outside and talk until it comes back. It's a local business run by local people who know the area well. We don't have many rules, we just get the work done.
