About Jai Ambika Work Shop – Housewares & Supplies in Sikar
This workshop is located in Lachhmangarh. It’s a pretty straightforward place where we do a lot of repair work and general mechanical jobs. We don't have a big fancy building, just a covered area where we keep our tools and machines. Most of the time we are working on agricultural equipment or local vehicles that need some welding or parts replaced. There’s always the smell of burnt metal and oil in the air. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot, though by noon it’s usually sweating work regardless. People in Lachhmangarh know us as a place where they can get things fixed without a lot of fuss. We have piles of scrap metal in the corner that sometimes come in handy for a quick patch job. The benches are worn down from years of use and the walls are stained with grease, which is pretty much what you'd expect from a real workshop. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't under a truck at that moment. It’s a bit messy and loud, but we get the jobs finished. Sometimes we have to wait a couple of days for a part to come in from the bigger towns, but we try to keep the basic stuff on hand. It’s just us and our tools, trying to keep the local machines running as they should.
