Site Engineer

I’m based at M I G 342 in Navanagar, Hubli. My name is Ramesh Betageri and I run the Site Engineer operations from here. This house has been my main base for quite some time now. Navanagar is a decent area, though it feels a bit far from the main city center sometimes. The zip code is 580025. Inside, it’s mostly just my workspace filled with rolls of blueprints and my laptop. I usually have a stack of bills and permits sitting on the corner of the table. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but I haven’t had the time to deal with that. I spend a lot of my time driving between here and various construction sites. When I am here, I’m usually on the phone coordinating with suppliers. It’s a one-man show for the most part. The street outside is fairly quiet, which helps when I need to concentrate on calculations. Sometimes the neighbor’s dog barks at the delivery guys, but otherwise, it’s peaceful. I’ve lived in Hubli my whole life, so this location makes sense for me. It’s not a corporate office with a receptionist; it’s just me and my tools. I keep my safety vest hanging on the back of the door. If someone needs to find me, they usually just look for the M I G numbers on the street. It’s home and work all in one. I usually keep a pot of tea going while I work on the reports in the evening.
