Pushpa Rice Mills & Driers

Our mill, Pushpa Rice Mills & Driers, sits right on Honnali Road. It is a convenient spot for the tractors and trucks to pull in and out. We have the milling equipment and the driers all in one big shed. Drying the grain is a big part of what we do, especially when the weather is damp. It’s a noisy place when everything is running, but that’s the sound of work getting done. We have been here for years, and most of the locals know the name Pushpa Rice Mills. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We don't have fancy titles or a big board of directors. I usually handle the customers while the rest of the team manages the machinery. We see a lot of different people coming through Honnali Road. Some stay for a bit to chat while their grain is being processed. The road outside can get quite muddy when it rains, which makes it tough for the heavy loads. We do what we can to keep the driveway clear. It’s an honest living. We don’t use any big marketing talk. We just tell people what we can do and then we do it. The driers take up a lot of space but they are essential for making sure the rice doesn't spoil. It’s a lot of responsibility to handle someone’s harvest. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay busy. It’s tough work but it pays the bills and keeps the community going.
