Shirguldev Infracon & Developers Private is run by Sunil Kumar and based out of Thakur Niwas in Badhai village. We are on the ground floor of the house, which is near Taradevi in Shimla. It’s a small family-type operation. We do various types of infrastructure and development work in the local area. Taradevi is a quiet spot, but there’s always something that needs to be built or repaired. We don't have a lot of corporate polish. Our office is just a place with a few chairs and some files where we track our projects. We know the local soil and the weather patterns, which is important for building in Himachal. Most of our workers are guys from the surrounding villages. We don’t do any big advertising. Usually, people hear about us through word of mouth. Sunil handles most of the meetings and the site inspections. We have some basic machinery, but a lot of the work is still done by hand because of the steep terrain. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to do a decent job for our neighbors and the people who hire us. Sometimes the supply of cement or steel gets stuck on the highway, and we just have to wait. It’s just the way things are here. We take things one day at a time and keep our work honest.
