Dinesh Sood

My name is Dinesh Sood and I’ve been living and working here in Shimla for a long time. My address is in the 171001 area, which is pretty much the heart of the town. I don’t have one of those big signs you see on the main roads. It’s more of a personal setup where I handle my daily tasks and meet people who need my help. Usually, it’s about financial consulting or helping with local permits and things like that. Shimla is a small place in some ways, and everyone seems to know everyone else. I spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting at my desk with a heater running during the snowy months. The work isn't anything flashy; it’s just practical stuff that needs to get done so people can stay on top of their responsibilities. I like the pace of things here, even when the tourists make the streets crowded. My office is a bit lived-in, with stacks of paper and books about local regulations. It’s a comfortable place to sit and talk. I don’t use a lot of technology if I can help it, though I have the basics. Most of my day is spent just working through whatever comes across my desk. It’s a simple life and I plan on keeping it that way. If someone needs to find me, they usually just ask around the neighborhood. I’m usually around from morning till late afternoon unless the weather is really bad.
