Hotel Polo Tower

We are situated right by the Polo Ground in Shillong. It’s a well-known spot because of all the sports and events that happen just across the way. Our address is simply Hotel Polo Tower, Polo Ground, and we’ve been here in the 793001 area for quite a while. It’s a bit different from the hotels stuck in the narrow alleys of the bazar. We have a bit more space around us. The building is a familiar sight for anyone who lives in this part of town. We don’t go in for a lot of fancy talk about what we do. We’re just a hotel. Every day is about the same thing—making sure the guests are sorted and the place doesn’t fall apart. It gets busy when there’s a big match or a rally at the grounds, but otherwise, it’s a fairly steady pace. We have folks from all over India staying with us. Some stay for a night, some for a week. We just do the work, clean the floors, and answer the phones. It’s not glamorous, but it’s our business. The weather here can change in five minutes, so we’re always prepared for the rain.
