You can find Hotel Pegasus Crown right on Ward's Lake Road in the Police Bazar area. This is really the heart of everything in Shillong. If you step outside, you are just a short walk from the lake and all the shops in the bazaar. Because we are in such a busy spot, there is always a lot of energy around the building. We have been running this place for many years now. It is a family-style operation where the staff knows each other well. We do not have any big corporate rules. We just try to treat people decently and keep the place clean. The weather in Shillong changes fast, so we are often dealing with rain or cold winds, making sure the rooms stay warm for whoever is staying with us. We spend a lot of time talking to guests about where to find the best local food or how to get a taxi to the hills. Police Bazar is never really quiet, and we have grown to love the noise of the market and the people passing through. We are not trying to be a luxury resort. We are just a local hotel where you can get a good night's sleep right in the middle of town. Our team does everything from the laundry to the maintenance themselves. It is hard work, but we like being part of the daily life here on Ward's Lake Road. We just keep things moving and stay busy.
