Cocktail Bar

We are situated inside the Hotel Alpine Continental on Thana Quinton Road here in Shillong. Most people find us because we are quite close to Police Bazar, which is always busy. The bar itself isn't huge. It’s a place where you can sit down and have a drink after walking up and down the hills of the city. The weather outside is often misty, so coming inside for a bit is a common thing for locals and tourists alike. We have some wooden tables and stools at the counter. The lighting is kept fairly low. It isn’t a place for loud parties or anything like that. We just serve what’s on the menu. Sometimes we run out of certain brands, but we usually have something else to offer. The staff is mostly from around here. We’ve been here for a good while now. You can hear the sounds from the road if it’s a busy evening. We don’t have a dress code. Most people just come as they are. It’s a simple setup without any fancy gadgets or expensive decor. We just try to keep the glasses clean and the drinks cold. It’s a practical spot for a quiet evening. We open up in the late afternoon and stay until the usual closing time. If you’re staying at the hotel, it’s just a short walk from your room. If you’re coming from the street, look for the hotel sign near the bazar. It’s an easy place to find once you are in the area. No big deal really.
