Karahal Farmer Producer Company Limited

We operate out of Bargawan in Sheopur, specifically at Ramkali Varma’s place. It’s a small operation run by local farmers. We decided to pool our resources together because it’s a lot easier to deal with the markets when you aren't doing it all by yourself. Sheopur is a place where most people know each other, so we try to keep our business dealings straightforward. The office is really just a room where we keep our registers and some basic equipment. It gets a bit dusty in the dry season because the windows don't close all the way. We don't mind it much. Most of our day is spent outdoors anyway. We talk to the other farmers in the area about what they are planting and how the crops are looking. It's a lot of manual work and long hours during the harvest. We don't have a big budget for fancy things. Our chairs are a bit mismatched and the table has some scratches from years of use. It works for us though. We are just trying to get the best for our community here in Bargawan. Sometimes we have a meeting under the big tree outside when it gets too hot in the building. It’s more comfortable that way. We aren't looking for fame, just a way to keep our farms going and provide for our families.
