Birmla Green Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Vinit Kumar’s house in Chhoya, Kairana. We are basically just a group of people from around here who decided to pool our resources. If you walk down the road toward Ashok Kumar’s place, you will find us there most days. We are focusing on green farming methods, but we don’t call it anything special. We just want to grow things without making the soil tired. Kairana is a good place for this kind of work. The office is small and usually has bags of stuff sitting around or papers on the desk that need sorting. We have a lot of long conversations about the weather and when to plant. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when we want it to, and we have to adjust. It is a lot of hands-on work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the farmers in our little group get what they need to keep going. There is no receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is around. Usually, there is some tea going and we are looking at the latest crop reports. It is simple work but it keeps us busy from early morning until the sun goes down. Most of us grew up in these fields so it’s what we know. We aren't experts in suits, just people who know the land.
