Siruguppa Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our office for Siruguppa Farmers Producer Company Limited is over in Devadurga. We are located at Rasool Sab and Shaik Sab’s place on Shahapur Road, right near where Hindustan Trailers is. If you see the big trailers, you know you are in the right spot. It’s a busy area with a lot of heavy vehicles moving around all day. We are basically a group of farmers trying to work together. The office is tucked away and doesn’t look like much from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just us trying to keep track of everyone’s crops and the supplies we need. It gets quite loud with the traffic on Shahapur Road, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, so we keep the windows open and hope for a breeze. Most of the folks who come by are wearing work clothes and have dirt under their fingernails, which is exactly how it should be. We deal with the practical side of farming, not the stuff you read in books. Sometimes the electricity goes out for half the day, so we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It is a very grounded way of doing business. We aren't trying to impress anyone; we’re just trying to make a living and help our neighbors do the same. It's a lot of hard work but we wouldn't have it any other way.
