Cafe Green

Operating out of Adityapur Industrial Area means things are always a bit dusty and loud. We are right on the Tata Kandra Main Road, so there are trucks going by at all hours. Opposite Zenith Forge is where you’ll find us. It’s a practical location for the people who work in the factories around here. Cafe Green isn’t the kind of place you’d find in a mall. It’s just a solid building where we make food for hungry people. Jamshedpur is a hardworking city and we try to match that energy. We open up early because the shifts start early. The tea is usually the first thing ready. We see the same faces every morning, mostly men in uniforms or people driving delivery vans. The interior is simple. We have tables that are easy to wipe down and chairs that don't break. There is nothing special about the decor because we focus on the kitchen work mostly. The heat from the road and the heat from the stove make the afternoons quite warm. We keep the fans running at full speed. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s quiet just to watch the traffic go by. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the demand during lunch hour. Everyone wants their food at the same time. We do what we can to keep the line moving. It’s a basic life here in Adityapur.
