Krishna Bricks

If you go down to Heman Base, near the old ice factory in Koli Pura, you'll find us at Krishna Bricks. It’s a busy part of town and we have been operating out of this spot for quite some time. The ice factory is a good landmark because everyone knows where that is. Our yard is usually full of activity, especially in the mornings when the air is still a bit cool. We spend our days digging, mixing, and baking the bricks in the kiln. It's hot work, especially when the fire is going, but we are used to it by now. We don't spend much time in the office because there's always something to do out in the yard. Sometimes the bricks don't dry as fast as we'd like when the humidity is high, which can be frustrating. We just do the work as it comes. We aren't a corporate office with people in suits; we're just local folks making bricks. Most of our customers are neighbors or small contractors who have been buying from us for years. We know most of them by name. It's a simple life, really. We make the bricks, people buy them, and they go off to build walls and houses. We just focus on getting the stacks right and making sure the kiln stays at the right temperature. It’s what we do every day without fail. The dust never really settles but that's just part of life here.
