Vasavi Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is at No. 95 in Jyothi Colony, which is over by the Trimulgherry post office. The colony is usually a quiet residential spot, which makes it a nice change from the busier parts of the city. Our building is easy to spot once you get into the lane. It’s a regular house-turned-office setup. We use the main rooms for the workstations and the back area for storage. There’s a big tree near the gate that gives some nice shade in the afternoon. We often see the postman coming and going since we are so close to the P.O. office. Inside, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We aren’t wearing suits or anything; we just come in and get to work on whatever is on the schedule for that day. The shelves are full of components and old files that we haven't touched in years. We have a small kitchen area where we eat lunch together most days. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks at the delivery guys, but otherwise, it’s a calm place to be. We’ve been in Jyothi Colony for a while, so the local people know us. It’s not a high-tech looking building from the outside, but we have everything we need to do our jobs properly. We usually lock up around six and the street gets very dark and quiet then. It's a decent place to spend the day and we feel right at home.
