Powergen

Powergen is located at 7-2-630 on R.P. Road. It’s a busy street, and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. The building is older, but it’s sturdy and holds everything we need for the business. We mostly deal with power equipment and generators. It’s heavy work sometimes, and our space reflects that. There are tools and spare parts everywhere you look. We aren't much for keeping things looking like a magazine cover. We care more about whether the machines are running properly for the people who buy them. R.P. Road is always full of life, and we get all kinds of people stopping by to ask questions about backup power. Our team is a mix of people who have been here forever and a couple of newer faces learning the ropes. We don't have a fancy website or anything usually, because people just know us by our reputation on the street. If you walk in, you’ll probably see us drinking tea or looking over a technical manual. We don’t use scripts when we talk to customers. We just tell them what will work for their situation and what won't. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We’ve seen the road change a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we know how to do. It’s simple and it works for us and the people we help. The rain sometimes leaks through the front door, but we mop it up.
