Our workplace is tucked away in Shirisha Sadan over in Vikrampuri Colony. It’s a Plot No. D3. It doesn't look like a big tech hub from the outside since it’s in a residential area. Inside, it’s a different story with wires and screens everywhere. We spend our shifts with headsets on, talking to people and solving computer problems. It gets pretty quiet in the colony at night while we are still working away. We have a small team and we’ve all known each other for a long time. The break room is usually where we complain about the coffee or talk about the weekend. We aren't a giant corporation with thousands of people. It’s more like a small group of folks trying to make things work. The desks are a bit cramped and the chairs have seen better days. We do a lot of data work and technical support that keeps us busy for hours. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to wait around, which is frustrating. We like the location because it’s a bit more peaceful than the main city center. It feels more like a home than an office most of the time. We just show up, do the hours, and head home when the sun comes up or sets depending on the shift. There is always a lot of clicking sounds from all the keyboards going at once. We usually have some snacks sitting on the corner table for whoever is hungry.
