Apanjan Primary School

Apanjan Primary School is located right on Sanker Nagar Road No 2 F here in Hyderabad. It is a small place compared to some of the big institutions you see in the city center. Most of the kids who come here live nearby, so you see parents walking them to the gate every morning. The street gets a bit crowded around eight o'clock, but things settle down once the first bell rings. We have been here for a while now, just handling the primary grades. It is mostly about teaching the basics like reading and math, and trying to keep the little ones from getting too rowdy. The classrooms are simple, with desks and boards that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have a huge playground, but the kids find ways to run around during their break time anyway. Sometimes it feels like we are just a small part of the neighborhood, which is fine by us. We know most of the families by name because we see them every day at the gate. Working with primary school children takes a lot of patience, and some days are definitely harder than others. But we just show up and do the work because it needs to be done. It’s a quiet life mostly, just following the school calendar and making sure the kids learn what they need to.
