About Ajodhyanagar Primary School – Education in Secunderabad
Ajodhyanagar Primary School sits on Plot No: 41/A in Karkhana. It’s tucked away a bit from the main noise of Secunderabad, but you still hear the traffic. The school building is older, with some cracks in the plaster here and there, but it stays cool inside. In the mornings, the kids come in wearing their uniforms, usually with their ties a bit crooked. We start early. The gate is small, so it gets crowded when everyone arrives at once. Inside, the halls are narrow. We have the primary classes on the ground floor. The benches are wooden and have seen a lot of use over the years. You can see where students have scratched their names into the wood. We don’t have a big playground, just a bit of space where the children play tag or sit and eat their snacks. The smell of erasers and old paper is always there. Our teachers are usually busy marking books with red ink at their desks. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open all the windows wide to let the breeze in from the Karkhana streets. It’s a simple setup. We focus on the daily lessons, the reading, and the math. When the final bell rings at the end of the day, there’s a big rush for the exit. Everyone is tired but the noise level is always high until the last child leaves and the building goes quiet again.
