Our office is in room 707 of the Swapna Lok Complex on S. D. Road. If you have lived in Secunderabad for any amount of time, you know Swapna Lok. It’s one of those older commercial buildings that has everything from travel agents to computer repair shops. Being on the 7th floor, we get a bit of a view, but mostly we just see the tops of other buildings and the traffic crawling along S. D. Road. Alkaloids Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this suite for quite a while. The office is a bit cramped with all the shelves and the old wooden desks, but it works for us. The elevators in the complex are a bit temperamental, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we aren't feeling lazy. There is a lot of back-and-forth communication with our clients and suppliers, so the phones are usually ringing. We don't have a sleek modern interior; it's more about the folders piled up and the calendars marked with ink. There is a tea stall right outside the main gate where we usually gather for a break in the afternoon. It’s a good spot because everything you need is within walking distance. We just come in, do our hours, and try to keep things organized. It’s a standard office life, really. Nothing too complicated, just keeping the business moving along day by day in a busy part of the city.
