Al Amoudi Silk Creation

Running Al Amoudi Silk Creation keeps us pretty busy most days. We are tucked away at 4-2-354 Subhash Road, right in the Rani Gunj area. It’s a lively part of town, especially with all the movement around Old Bhoiguda. The shop itself feels a bit old-fashioned, which I think fits the kind of silk we handle. Silk is a tricky thing to keep neat because it slides off the tables if you aren't careful. We spend half the morning just refolding bundles that got messed up the day before. The building in Rani Gunj has its quirks, like that one squeaky floorboard near the entrance that tells us whenever someone walks in. Subhash Road is usually noisy with scooters and trucks, so we mostly hear that all day while we work. It’s not a quiet place, but it feels right for where we are. We have these big wooden counters where we lay out the fabric for people to see. Sometimes the colors look different depending on the time of day because the sun comes in through the front window pretty strong in the afternoon. Most of our time is spent checking the stock and making sure the rolls of fabric haven't gathered any dust. It’s just us here, doing what we do every day without much fuss. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just the usual tubes that flicker a bit when the power acts up in Rani Gunj.
