We are located in the Arale village area, which is part of the Satara district. Our main work is handling bricks and sand for whoever is building around here. The yard is usually quite messy with heaps of sand and stacks of bricks everywhere. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when the tractors and trucks line up to get loaded. We spend a lot of time outdoors, so we are pretty much at the mercy of the weather. If it rains too much, the sand gets heavy and the bricks don't dry right. We have a small crew that helps with the loading and keeping track of the deliveries. We aren't doing anything fancy; we just provide the basic stuff people need to start their construction. Most of our customers are locals from the village or the nearby town. They know where we are, right near the post office. We don’t really have a big office or anything. Most of our business is done standing in the yard or over the phone. We just try to keep the piles stocked up so we don't run out when someone needs a big load. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around all day long. We’ve been here long enough that we know the roads and the people quite well. It’s just a regular local business, nothing more and nothing less. We keep moving every day, making sure the trucks get out on time so projects don't stall or get held up.
