Omkar Food Processing

Our small unit is out in Kalmabe, which is quite close to Kanedam. It’s a much quieter area than the city, which we all really like. The air feels different here, and the pace of life is a lot slower than what you find in town. We handle food processing, so we spend a lot of our time dealing with whatever is in season at the moment. The building isn't anything special, just a practical space where we can wash, sort, and pack things up. We mostly work with what comes in from the local area. It gets quite busy during harvest times, and we have more people helping out then to keep things moving. Most of the day is spent on our feet, moving crates around or checking the machines. We don't have a big marketing department or an office with glass walls. It is mostly just us in our work gear, making sure the food is handled right before it goes out. Sometimes the weather affects how much work we have to do. If it rains a lot, things tend to slow down for a while. We have a small area where we sit for lunch and talk about how the crops are doing this year. It is a simple life and a simple business. We are just local people working with food in a way that makes sense for this location. We don’t try to be flashy.
