Namitas Hostel

Namitas Hostel is located in the Anand Sagar Building, right on the Main Road here in Panchgani. Since we are on the main stretch, it is easy for people to find us when they first arrive in town. The building has been around for a while and has that old stone look common in this part of the hill station. We mostly provide rooms for girls and women who are studying at the nearby schools or working in the local shops. It is a basic setup. We have rooms with two or three beds and a small cupboard for each person to keep their things. The bathrooms are shared, and we have a schedule for the hot water in the mornings because it gets quite cold here. There is a common dining hall where we serve breakfast and dinner every day. The food is just regular home cooking, like what you would eat in your own house. We have a small television in the common area, but most people are busy with their own things or studying. The porch is a good place to sit and look at the road, especially when it is not raining. We have a gatekeeper who stays by the entrance at night to watch the gate. It is not a luxury place with fancy carpets or room service. It is just a safe and plain building for people who need a place to stay long-term. We try to keep things quiet so everyone can get their sleep.
