Krishna Steel

If you’re driving down the Main Road on the way to Patan, you’ll see our place right across from the Vimantal in Satara. We’ve been sitting on this corner for a long time. It’s a noisy spot because of the planes and the trucks passing by constantly, but it works for us. Krishna Steel isn't a big corporation; it’s just a few of us handling the inventory every day. We keep a lot of our stock outside, so it gets a bit dusty from the road. Most of our customers are local builders or farmers from around Satara who need a few rods for a project. We don't do much fancy advertising. People just know where we are. Usually, you’ll find me sitting at the old wooden desk near the front, trying to keep the ledger straight while the guys load up a tractor or a pickup truck. The weather gets really hot here in the summer, and the metal gets almost too warm to touch by noon. We take a long lunch break when it’s like that. Sometimes we run out of a specific size and have to wait for the next delivery from the city, which can take a few days. We don't mind the slow pace. It’s a steady life on Karad Patan Road. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same.
